National Sports Council (NSC), the apex sports organization of Bangladesh came into existence by a statute “National Sports Council Act- 1974 which was amended over a period of time by turn in1976, 1978 and 1984. Initially, it was brought forth as ‘National Sports Control Board” to focus on sports development encouraging physical fitness among youth to channelise their energy towards excellence.
